You’ve definitely heard this phrase before but it holds true. You really only get one shot at impressing clients once they’ve signed the deal. Of course, the first impression has nothing to do with actual work but you only get one first impression at showing clients the work that you do.
There have been times when we’ve signed a client and we didn’t make a good first impression. We want everything we do here to be perfect but the reality is that it’s something we miss the mark on. When you’re not perfect with a client, especially if it’s the first piece of work you’re doing for them, it can really sour the relationship. It’s very very difficult to recover from that. The first 90 days for a client needs to be special and then they’ll stick with you from there.
