Ideas to increase your productivity. What is happening is Erik J. Olson. Yeah. Here’s a couple of ideas about how you can increase your productivity. Number one is you need to write down the things you want to do on a daily basis. So I am pulling my journal out here and what I do is I write down every single day, the things that I want to do now, the reality is I may not get to all of them, but I’ve taken the time to write it down and I have a plan. And then what I typically do is I bounce. I balance these to do items off of my calendar. So my calendars kind of manage separately from the things that I wanna accomplish that day. So the things that I wanna accomplish are typically not the things that are on my calendar, because they’re just kind of separate. So as an example, here, I have my powerless for yesterday. These are things I did not actually, I didn’t accomplish all these things. So there’ll be another tip, a second tip coming up in a second about how you can catch up record four episodes of the Journey To $100 Million. I didn’t get to it yesterday on Friday. Guess what? Today or Saturday, now I’m recording.

Figure out my schedule for the next couple of weeks. I need to submit a deal to the real estate club that I just joined and I need to pay some bills. So a couple of things actually all those things, none of those things that I actually got done and I was completely distracted all day long. So tip number two, I don’t know about y’all, but during the week it’s like almost sometimes impossible to get my work done because I’m dealing with all these other issues with my staff, with clients with vendors. And I gotta take care of all that shit Monday through Friday nine to five, because that’s when they work. But the moment that five o’clock strikes on the clock, guess what they bounce. And now I’m here left by myself, trying to figure out how long to get these four things done.
Erik J. Olson (02:01):
And today’s a Saturday afternoon and I’m gonna come into the office and I wanna get it done. Right? So tip number two, find time in your week to get these things done. If they’re important, you’ll get them done. Even if that means Saturday or nights or early mornings or Sundays, no, one’s putting a gun to your head saying you have to take off on Saturday. You are not allowed to work after hours before hours, more than 40 hours a week or on a Saturday. So guess what? I’m in here, right? I wanna knock some, some shit out. That’s what I’m doing. So that’s tip number two and then tip number three is I didn’t do a good job of this this past week, but try to block some time off in your calendar because you know, like we’re all, a lot of us are working remote, which means a ton of like zoom or Google meet meetings, like video call meetings, just one after the other, after the other, after
Erik J. Olson (02:58):
The, before you know it, you blink and it’s five o’clock in the afternoon and you didn’t get anything done. So if you could actually block off time where you’re gonna get to those four items that you said, you’re gonna get to first thing in the morning, you block off time, preferably in the morning, make it work for you, but block off time so you can get to your shit. That helps a lot. So three tips on how to maximize your productivity.
