Kevin Daisey (00:00):
Selling is a service. Hey, what’s up everybody. Kevin Daisey here. So sales, no one likes to talk about sales selling. It’s it’s the wrong thing to do. Everyone that is in sales has a title like business development or account manager and things like that, but really think about selling as a service. And this is the way I’ve been changing, how I’m talking to a potential client. I cannot help a law firm. If they’re not a client, of course I can give them some free consulting and some ideas and direction. And I do that for most small firms that can’t afford to work with us. But if I truly believe that my service is good, my team is awesome. And we can provide not just good service, but actual growth for our clients. Then I’m doing them a disservice by not having them sign a contract with us.
I know if I get them on as a client, I can help them. And this is what I’m saying is a hundred percent true. I know because our team is getting the results that allows me to be that confident. So you need to be confident first in what you do and believe in your service and then selling it is a lot easier. So I know that if I sign a law firm, that’s the right fit. Of course they have to be personally and morally and just character wise, a right fit. Otherwise I know we can help them. So having them sign an agreement, a contract with us and coming on board is going to help them. So selling is a service you’re, you’re taking the time, the effort to talk with them. You’re helping them figure out where they need to go, what things they need to do to get to the next step.
In this case, again, marketing, I can tell them exactly what they need to do and the services that we can offer. So I’m, I’m helping them by selling to them. So rethink how you think about selling. If you know, you can help them and be passionate about that, then you can’t actually help them until they’re a client. So selling them, closing them on your agreement or deal or product or whatever it may be is a service in itself. So rethink how you, you do sales, make them believe what you believe that you can help them. And selling’s gonna be a lot easier for you.
