Working from home for the last few months has really made us start to reconsider having an office. At first we weren’t sure how it was going to go but we quickly found out that it was a fairly easy transition since we do most things online. We haven’t really found anything we are not able to do from home for work.
Most of us agree we are actually more productive at home. Not being in the office means not being able to stop by a co-worker’s desk and start chatting. And, as you may know those conversations can sometimes go on and on.
On top of that most of us feel we actually have more time to work since our commute time has been slashed to 10 seconds. There is no more sitting in traffic, running back home because we forgot something, or traveling to meet with clients.
Erik’s not sure he wants to get rid of the office completely, but all of this has definitely made him realize that we don’t need to be in the office every day. Maybe in the future we will have a couple of dedicated days a week to go into the office. Who knows what the future holds.
