The discovery process outline below covers the vast majority of new client leads that law firms receive here is the process that smart law firms follow to generate new leads from digital marketing. One, the perspective client has a need. Two. They search on Google for a law firm like yours. Three. They discover a law firm on Google through an ad or a free organic listing and are compelled by what they see on Google four. They click through to the law firm’s website five. They typically will not reach out immediately six. The law firm can offer a call to action and a lead magnet such as a downloadable like this one that I’m reading from to capture the prospective client’s name and email address. If provided then the law firm can then reach out to them through their sales process. Number seven, whether they provide their contact information or not.

When they went to the website, they were pixel meaning that a small amount of Facebook code on the website allows the law firm to advertise to them later on Facebook and Instagram, number eight, they inevitably go to Facebook or Instagram while scrolling through a friend’s post. Number nine, they click through from the Facebook or Instagram ad back to the law firm website. And the law firm has yet another opportunity to let them know they should be working together. Number 10, the prospective client books, a consultation, that’s an overly simplistic representation of the user experience for those searching for law firm services. These days, although simplistic, we’ve seen this cycle repeated thousands of times.
